Bass is currently a member of fourteen dissertation committees at Yale both within and beyond the History of Art Department. She is advisor or co-advisor to students working on topics that range from the material practices of natural history to the political imagery of the Franco-Dutch wars to the agency of women as collectors in seventeenth-century Batavia.

Unless otherwise indicated here, Bass will be considering applications during the upcoming admissions cycle. For the sake of equity, she does not hold meetings or schedule conversations with prospective students prior to the final stage of the admission process. Interested students are welcome to introduce themselves or pose questions by email.
